Edit a person

Reference Number: AA-00312 Last Updated: 2012-09-25 13:26

Once a user has been added to the console, you can update the information related to the user.

Navigating to a user's profile

To navigate to a person's profile in order to edit it:

  1. Select the People tab.
  2. Search for the person you wish to edit and select them.
  3. Once selected, a screen will load with the user details and the recent activities for that particular user.  Far right in the screen, as shown below (Figure 1) there is a option to "Edit user" under Actions.
  4. Select "Edit user" and another page will load and display user details, permissions and languages. As seen below (Figure 2) our chosen user "John Simmons" is a fieldworker only, assigned to the Training study only.  The page with the profile of this user can be edited, for example, you can un-tick Training and tick any other study or keep Training and add other studies.

Changing the type of user

A user is either a fieldworker or a console user.

To change the type of user:

  1. Navigate to the person's profile.
  2. Select "User is a fieldworker only" to make the user a fieldworker (Figure 4). Fieldworkers have limited permissions and can only conduct surveys.
  3. Deselect "User is a fieldworker only" to make the user a console user with additional permissions. Additional information will be required for the user i.e. email and password.

Editing Permissions

Different users can be granted different permissions depending on whether they are a fieldworker or a console user.
